Join as a community ensemble ...

Joining as an orchestra or band is a great way to bring your whole organisation onto the platform. There are many benefits. You get a dedicated private forum space just for your organisation, your approved representatives can manage and moderate that space as well as becoming part of the team managing the entire server, you can advertise concerts and events, and your orchestra will be added to the world wide directory of community orchestras for others to find.

There are a few more steps to verify your orchestra's details, confirm approval from your management committee, and setup your administrators, but once done you have a powerful communications platform for your organization's members. And its free, forever! 

All members on the Discord server are verified though your organisation, so you can trust anyone that is flagged as a member of an orchestra as being part of the family.

Verified members will receive a Verified Member role plus a role indicating membership of the organisation, and organisation admins will have a special admin role to identify them as such. A verified member can belong to multiple ensembles.

Join as an individual ...

You can also join as an individual, either because your orchestra has not been onboarded yet (get them to sign up!) or because you are not yet a member of an orchestra and may be looking to get involved, either as a player, a volunteer or even as a patron attending concerts and events!

Again, we have a verification process to ensure everyone joining the server is a real person, not a bot, so that you can have a greater degree of trust and confidence in the people in the community.

If you are a member of an organisation already on the Discord Server ...

If you are joining the server as part of an existing orchestra or band, there is no cost to join, as your organisation's admin will verify you are a real member. 

If you are not a member of an organisation already on the Discord Server ...

If you are not a member of an existing orchestra or band on the server, you are welcome to join the server as a general member, with access to only the Concert Hall channel. To unlock full access to the whole server as an individual, you’ll need to verify your identity by making a one-time $2 contribution via Ko-Fi. to provide you are a real person and over 18. This process helps ensure that the server remains a valuable and serious resource for orchestra management by restricting full access to individuals aged 18 and older. Instead of implementing a formal age verification system, which is intrusive of your personal information, we use the ability to hold a credit card as a straightforward way to meet this requirement. Again, you only need to do this if your organisation is not already on the server, as they will be verifying you are a real person. :-)

Once you make a contribution you will receive the Verified Member role on the Discord server, and will be able to access the rest of the server. Anyone the joins as a monthly subscriber will get the additional role Supporter and additional perks.
