The OC Story

Community orchestras offer a powerful answer: spaces where people come together to create something beautiful, connect genuinely, and experience the irreplaceable magic of live music. As AI transforms society and our interactions become more digitally mediated, we work each day to make the joy of collaborative music-making more accessible to everyone. Community Orchestras bring people face-to-face, fostering community spirit and creativity that transcend technology.

The Mission

OC empowers community orchestras to thrive as vibrant hubs of musical excellence and human connection. Through innovative tools, resources, and support, OC helps orchestras:

• Build and link together sustainable and inclusive communities

• Connect with broader audiences

• Preserve and evolve orchestral traditions

• Empower Community Orchestras with the tools they need to effortlessly manage their membership, for free or a small supporter contibution.

Cooperative not Commercial

Our focus is on cooperation and collaboration for the betterment of the the community, not commercial outcomes. Therefore we run hyper-lean, use technology to provide services that enable, while making everything we do inclusive, respectful and trustworthy. OC is not run to generate a profit for soulless corporations. Instead we offer services to all orchestras for free, or for a small contribution from those that want more capacity, which helps offset the costs of running the service.
